The ILCA class sailing boat (formerly known as Laser) is an Olympic one-person dinghy event for both men and women, and a timeless competitive centreboard sailing boat.

The ILCA fleet consists of three models: ILCA 7, ILCA 6 and

ILCA 4. ILCA 7 is the Olympic competition boat for the men’s single-handed event;

ILCA 6 serves as the official boat for the women’s Olympic single-handed event;

ILCA 4 is mainly used for youth sailing training and competitions.

First launched in 1970, the ILCA class became an Olympic sailing competition discipline in 1996.
